How much does it cost to install a new boiler?

At SFS Home Assist, we offer impartial advice to ensure our customers chose the right boiler for their home. You can arrange for one of our engineers (not a salesman) to visit your home and give a free, detailed quotation and answer any questions which you may have about a new boiler.

                                                                                             

The price of a new boiler installation will depend on the type of boiler and your property. However an average figure for a staigt swap (changing your existing combination boiler to a new combi boiler in the same position) can be from £699 + vat. To swap a system from a conventional boiler to a brand new condensing combination boiler will cost anywhere from £1199 + vat.

                                                                                              

What is a boiler service?

To keep your boiler working safely and efficiently at all times, it is recommended your boiler is serviced once a year. An annual service is a cost effective way of extending the life of your boiler, reducing its running costs and reducing the risk of a breakdown. If your boiler is covered by a manufacturer warranty, it is essential you have a boiler service done once a year to keep your warranty vaild.

                                                                                           

What is a thermostatic radiator valve?

Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV's) allow you to adjust the temperature to suit you, simply by turning the thermostat body.They also allow you to select the lowest temperature setting for unused rooms, saving energy and money on bills

                                                                                                          

What is a wireless timer?

A wireless timer allows you to control the temperature from any room in your house. They usually have an easy to red digital temperature display and are fairly easy to operate. They can also help you to save money on your fuel bills (on average £70 a year).

                                                          

What is a magnetic filter?
